Important message about the dogs on this page...
Meet the dogs that have recently come into foster care with SOS. Dogs that end up in our care come to us from many different situations. We specialize in older dogs, but we also take younger dogs under special circumstances.
Dogs are usually given 30 days in foster care before they are available for adoption. During that time, the dogs are:
- medically assessed and treated for any medical conditions
- receiving training
- being assessed for personality type
- becoming socialized and house-trained (if necessary)
- spayed or neutered
Once these steps are complete, we will know more about the dog and will then be able to match them with the perfect home. A profile of the dog will be prepared and the dog's photo and bio will be moved to Dogs Ready for Adoption. We would be pleased to receive your adoption application at that time.
For the best opportunity at adopting one of our new additions, please fill out an Adoption Application Form to get pre-approved. It costs nothing to apply, and then you are already approved for the dog you want.
